INTERSTATE MOVING
If you are a New York area resident and are moving out of New York State, your move will be classified as an Interstate move. Here is how interstate moves work:
The price of your move is based on distance (how far your belongings are traveling), and weight (how heavy your shipment is).
To receive a moving quote, one of our moving consultants will meet you at your home for a walk through where they will take detailed notes on every item that is being moved. They will use that information to estimate the shipment weight, which will then be used to provide you with a moving cost estimate.
Once your goods are loaded onto the truck on moving day, the truck is weighed for an official shipment weight. We have a truck scale at our Hauppauge offices, and you can come and see the truck being weighed if you would like!

Additionally, we offer storage. If there is a gap in time between when you will be moving out of your home and when you will be able to move to your new place, Bay Shore Moving & Storage, Inc. offers you the option of storing your items with us at our on-site storage facility. Your items would be in our Hauppauge, NY warehouse. Our warehouse has over 120,000 square feet of storage space. The warehouse is equipped with CCTV cameras, 24/7 central station alarm monitoring.
